Riot in my Mind is an album that embodies that teen angst feeling. From Blink-182 to Good Charlotte, every angst-y feeling and song you listened to in high school when you felt like no one understood you is on this album. But it was never just a phase, those feelings and songs shaped who you are today. Even though it felt like there was a riot in your mind, music is what helps a lot of us get through hard times.  

I created this album around the feeling of teen angst, because high school is full of growing pains. I chose to decorate the album with the style of doodles that most of us adorned our school notes with while daydreaming in class. I hand illustrated them with black ink on traditional notebook paper and scanned into the computer to accompany the grunge title and typical tongue-out picture we’re all guilty of taking when we were younger. I continued the doodle art to the inside of the album cover and chose to display the lyrics to each song in a chaotic way to mimic the way we feel when in that stage of life.
