360 Advertising Campaign | Branding

We all use our phones and social media more than we would like to admit. Social media promotes feelings of inadequacy about our lives and can cause self-insecurities. Studies have found a strong link between heavy social media use and a decline in mental health. To combat this, TikTok is partnering with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to encourage people, specifically the younger generations to #PutDownYourPhone and spend time outside. TikTok is sponsoring a walk-a-thon to raise awareness for mental health and support the NAMI foundation.  

I designed this campaign in correspondence with TikTok’s branding to create cohesiveness within the ads and brand partner. I created the statistics in the campaign’s ads to be ‘outrageous’ in a sense to bring humor to the campaign and make them more eye-catching. Obviously, there isn’t necessarily exact research and proper statistics behind whether smelling grass directly increases serotonin, but it’s funny and makes you wonder if it could be true! There are statistics proving spending time outdoors does increase serotonin so why not!
